What is the course about?
This course will help you to ensure that you get the best from your appraisal process.
It will help managers to set clear performance objectives and measure staff against those objectives.
It will also enable managers to give clear feedback that motivates and develops staff and ensures that they understand how their contribution feeds into the company’s goals.
Who is the course for?
The course is for anyone who has responsibility for managing staff performance and development.
This workshop will help managers set goals, provide feedback and coaching and carry out annual appraisals.
By the end of this workshop managers will be able to:
- List the benefits of appraisals
- Demonstrate the use of SMART objectives as part of the appraisal process
- Demonstrate how to give effective feedback
- Demonstrate how to coach to improve performance
Before the course
We meet with you to discuss your objectives in detail so we can tailor the course to your needs.
We also send our confidential pre-course questionnaires to all managers attending our Performanace Management and Appraisal Course. We use them to (as much as possible) make sure that the course meets the needs' of each delegate.
After the course
All delegates who have attended the course are entitled to six months free telephone and email support after the course.
This course is approved and monitored by the Institute of leadership & Management (ILM) (part of the City & Guilds Group).
Delegates on this course can receive an ILM certificate and a year's studying membership (additional fee £49+VAT)
